Add-On Accessory #2 Utilities:

The following is a list of each of the individual utilities and it’s function:

 

ALLVNDRS

This utility will allow you to insert a specific Vendor I.D. into ALL of your Inventory Records with one step.

 

BAD_DATE

You can use this utility if somehow the date in your computer was wrong, and now you have information in your files with the wrong dates. This utility will ask you to input the 'BAD' date, and the date with which to replace it. The program will then go through ALL of your files and replace the wrong date with the right date!

 

GROUP_PR

This utility is used to go through your inventory and quickly change the costs of your items as searched on by a common set of characters at the beginning of your Item I.D.'s. Such as if you have a shoe store and you have a many shoes with all the same I.D.'s except the last characters which indicate the different sizes. You can input the beginning, or common I.D.> characters and the program will display the items that match your criteria and inquire of you whether or nor to apply the price changes that you have specified on screen.

 

PRC_CHNG

This is a handy tool that will allow you to make price percentage changes for all of the items in your inventory assigned a specific Vendor ID. For example, if your vendor `ABC1` reduces all of your costs by 10%, you can input -10.00 into the program for the Cost Figure, and this utility will automatically adjust all of your cost figures by -10%, for the Vendor ID that you specified. You can also specify percentage adjustments for the Wholesale and Retail price fields as well.

 

QTY_0

This utility is used to go through your inventory and quickly change the QTY to ZERO.

 

DEL_0

This utility is used to go through your inventory and quickly Mark for Deletion all the records that have the QTY ON HAND value of ZERO. This utility WILL NOT mark any service or `~` designated Inventory Items for deletion.

 

CST_DEL

Use this utility to go through your Customer Master File and mark any records for deletion that contain a Last Sale Date older than the date you specify on screen when using this procedure. The system will not mark for deletion any records that have a Receivables Balance not equal to zero.

 

TAX_INV

This utility is used to go through your Inventory and quickly change all three of the TAXABLE Y/N Levels to the setting you specify.

 

TAX_CST

This utility is used to go through your Customer File and quickly change all three of the TAXABLE Y/N Levels to the setting you specify.

 

UPDT_ARC

Use this Utility to update any data files that were created with an older version of Sales-Pro as your Archive/History files and aren't the same as the current version data files. When you install Sales-Pro program updates, all of the Current/Active data files are converted to the new version automatically. Run this utility to check and update if necessary your Archive or History files.

 

DDOC

This is a powerful utility that will enable you to directly access, edit and browse your data files as well as dozens of other operations, including modifying and displaying the data base structures, etc.

 

CONV_DB

This utility will go through all of the files in your Sales-Pro system and make them dBASE compatible. That is, you will then be able to access and manipulate the files using dBASE III by Ashton-Tate or one of the many available dBASE III clones. The files will still work the same with Sales-Pro and dBMAN, but now they will also work with dBASE III and later. Version 5.00 and later of Sales-Pro maintains dBASE compatible files naturally, but if you have updated from an earlier version you will require this utility.
